Migrating NextCloud to a new server – keep data intact

Title says it all: looking to move from a CentOS 7 host with all local storage to either CentOS 7 or Ubuntu [current] with a mix of local, attached block, and object storage

Possible issues I know about already:

  • using SSL for the connection (may need to use a new subdomain)
  • file encryption is enabled (not sure what this might do)

What else do I need to worry/think about?

I’ve only got a few users currently – but might consider enabling LDAP authentication (and running an OpenLDAP or FreeIPA server)
