I used to hear/use the metaphor of jumping over the Grand Canyon for our need for salvation. Not even the best jumper makes it.
This is wrong.
The best jumper among us did a faceplant before ever getting off our side of the canyon.
We can’t meet Him part-way. He comes to us.
