I think you're having trouble understanding what I said – go reread what I wrote (maybe a couple times ?)

Not sure how to make this any clearer – any given bank of elevators is going to have its own logic for how to dispatch individual lifts.

But the logic between Otis and Hitachi and ThyssenKrupp and everyone else are going to be different

There will be differences between models of Otis elevators

There will be differences in how this bank of elevators is programmed vs that bank of elevators

….and that's a very long way to rewrite what I wrote above:

Lifts (elevators) don’t have a unifying algorithm for how to choose which one goes where and when
