Splunk is case-senstive … except where it isn’t \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

By default search<\/code> ANDs<\/p>\n

But if you want to be explicit<\/em>, you must<\/em> all-caps AND<\/code> – just like you must<\/em> all-caps OR<\/code>:<\/p>\n

index=ndx sourcetype=srctp "someval" "someotherval"\n<\/code><\/pre>\n
Is the same<\/em> as:<\/p>\n
index=ndx AND sourcetype=srctp AND "someval" AND "someotherval"\n<\/code><\/pre>\n
Splunk views "and" as raw text to look for, whereas "AND" is an operator<\/p>\n
So this should be what you’re looking for (though I generally agree with @RichG<\/a>‘s answer<\/a> wherein he says you should make the filter in the Alert, and only send if the results are greater than 0):<\/p>\n
